Earlier this week, online fashion retailer ASOS spoke of plans to increase its staff body at their London headquarters in Camden by 60% over the next 3 years.
The online fashion giant already employs 2500 people and will add another 1500 to its workforce.
To facilitate the growth, ASOS has taken on an additional 40 000 sq ft of workspace at Greater London House, bringing their total occupancy to almost 250 000 sq ft.
Nick Beighton, CEO of ASOS explains, "We are creating a workspace that fosters creativity…Greater London House is such an important part of the company's history, as well as Camden's, so I'm thrilled that we get to stay in our home, while building a workplace for the future."
Greater London House, or The Carreras Building as it was formally known, is located next to Mornington Crescent Underground station and used to be a tobacco factory. Its art deco design is noted as a prominent example of earl y 20th Century Egyptian Revival architecture.
Other notable occupiers include: The British Heart Foundation, Young & Rubicam (advertising), EMAP Communications, Wunderman and others.
